天灯 tiāndēng

Or, sky lantern. I was visiting Taiwan in 2017 and at the end of the trip, we could make and design our own 天灯/sky lantern. We were asked to write one wish we had, and to paint that with a humble brush, and then, we lit a candle and let it float into the sky. 

 

After the trip, I asked various persons in my life what they would wish for if they could write in a 天灯. I then paired their wish with a relevant photo I took during that same trip (:
